How does tuition work on holidays/vacation/absences?

At Upwards, we understand that scheduling and attendance can be complicated issues for families. That's why we've developed clear policies around tuition and attendance to ensure that parents and providers are on the same page.

Daycare providers will be closed during the school year for certain holidays and vacation days. We will notify you at least 30 days in advance of these closures, and you will need to make arrangements for substitute care for your child during these times. Please inquire within for a list of scheduled closed holidays and vacation days.

It's important to note that tuition is due and payable for these days, even if your child is not attending daycare. This helps ensure your child's spot is reserved and available when needed.

Similarly, tuition is still due when your child is absent from care. This helps ensure that the provider is able to keep your spot and maintain the proper ratio of children to caregivers.

We understand that every family's situation is unique, and that's why we're committed to working with you to find solutions that work for your family's needs. If you have any questions or concerns about tuition or attendance, please don't hesitate to reach out to your assigned childcare specialist. Our team is here to support you every step of the way and ensure that your child receives the highest quality care possible.
